So this post is actually crazy me and a fan boy moment about to happen...NH7 WEEKENDER is back again guys and the magic is about to restart as the early bird tickets for the event got released and mostly sold out.

With BREED, MADBOY MINK, SICKFLIP,NANOK & SUREAL having been confirmed for the event (yes you heard it here....)..the only void remaining are the head liners??......

REVIEW TIME !!

Ok so kill me for being missing for so long but thing is that i finally got some stimulus to write a review.

Trippy trippy trippy ! is what i can say for Singer Writer Producer Sohrab Nicholson's EP For What. After having picked it up from Bandcamp, i finally gave it a listen after a long time of stewing on my ipod and i am glad i heard it on my speakers !

From an exeptionally trippy beginning with the title track For what, my favorite track of the short 4 track EP is the penultimate song Bad Man which is groovy and best for that Sunday afternoon relaxation. Though i have not managed to catch him live in my city ..(Sighh...) from what i know he is great live and set to rock the stage during NH7 Weekender Pune in November this year,.

So i've been taking some time off lately trying to listen to a lot of new stuff going around the market. Since all of you surely know now 'the endless river' which is surely a throwback, I decided to do a little throwback of my own !!

If you thought GIR gave us the national pride of having a country wide rock contest, you were wrong as you will read up on the Simla  Beats contest in 1970/71 where the beat bands from the entire nation came together for their first rock contest. So I'm sharing this song by Great Bear !!...where our very own Nondon Bagchi became famous. This band is definitely gives you a feel of the old Doors and makes you want to get 'JIGGY'

Discovery of the week

Beat Boxing and Guitars???

Never thought that could go together right?....Well you thought wrong as this Brit duo definitely pack a punch with their spirited beat boxing and dirty guitars accompanied by strong vocals.

Brit Duo HEYMOONSHAKER definitely gets you grooving with their songs. Though unsigned, they are growing in Europe and even festival organizers in India should give them a listen.

This week INDIE went dancing when i discovered the brilliant music of the Chennai rockers The F16'S . Influenced by bands like Young the giant and with string parts that will remind you of Gotye and the black keys, this band surely deserved the win at the Converse rubber tracks India.

The song you have to listen to is Light Bulbs which kept me humming the chorus through the weekend.
